Apple is too costly
For all iPad lovers, iPad mini is launched but the price quoted disappointed me. For sure, the model of “IPad mini” will attract new customers.Yet, the high price will come as a relief for the low-cost tablets in the market.
To be frank, I just held up my plans of buying a new cell phone, only waiting for a release from Apple. Months back, the company’s statement on “low quoted mini- iPad” had pulled my attention, but I did not know that the mini will be mean to my pocket. A 7.9-inch iPad mini will cost me $329 to $659, depending on the memory and wireless features. Isn’t it priced too high?!
Recently, Apple Chief Executive Officer, Tim Cook, revealed a thinner iPad that carries a high price tag. I think they are planning to shore up profit by leaving room for their competitors to sell their tablets more cheaply. If we are getting more advanced iPads in the market, then why do we have to buy this? Namesake or feature sake? But I really don’t know on what bases Tim is so relaxed. Tim is laying a bet that the set of features and iPad software applications will for sure persuade consumers to shun off cheaper alternatives. I really appreciate his attitude! Well, few analysts re-read their price list in the wake of Apple the announcement. Whatever it is, I think their competitors will be happy after knowing the price quote. Well guys, you can still buy the new release as the company is sticking to its strategy of charging a premium for its products to preserve industry-leading margins as it competes in a market with NPD!
As part Apple lovers, even investors were disappointed with the price. Well, as expected and as announced, Apple didn’t quote the gadget at a lower price to box out competitors. As a result, shares in Cupertino, California-based company saw a major down fall of 3.3% to $613.36 after the announcement. End of the day the result was that Apple’s stock had dropped 13% since reaching a record on September 19, two days before the company released the iPhone 5.
So here are a small notes about mini iPad! It has a set of features that includes dual cameras, long battery life and access to iTunes and the company’s App Store with more than 275,000 iPad software applications and etc…. but I can’t buy it, so I’d rather be just gazing at it!
